Cupcake War

This afternoon, Chris, the little bear, and I had the fun opportunity to be a part of an audition video for Food Network's "Cupcake Wars." If you've never seen this show, you should. It's a wonderful mess of crazy cupcake competitions featuring local bakers from around the country.

So how did we end up in this video? We are lucky enough to live a few blocks away from a delightful, local little cupcake shop, Carolina Cupcakery, and upon hearing about their TV venture, we were super excited to go out and support them -- and enjoy a few cupcakes while we were at it! (I'd already made my trip to the gym, so all of my munching was guilt free. ;-)

What I love about this cupcakery - in addition to the fact that they sell cupcakes, hello! --  is that they are dedicated to using only the purest, most natural ingredients in all of their baking. And in honor of the large Jewish population in our neighborhood, all of their goodies are also kosher.

Since my post featuring their pupcakes for Bear's birthday, he has become a little bit of a pupcake celebrity, and they asked us to bring him along to the shoot. Needless to say, he had a blast being around so many people -- and so much cake!

Here are a few pictures they took of us at the taping. If they release the audition video once it's edited, I'll be sure to pass it along! :)

Hmmm...I think I'm going to go eat another cupcake now. ;-)
